Hearing Aid Repair & Maintenance

Hearing aids are tough for their size, but they work long days in a warm, humid, waxy environment, so sooner or later, every wearer has a morning where something's not right. No sound, weak sound, crackling, a battery door that won't behave. The good news: most problems are small, and most fixes are fast.

Start in our office, not a shipping box

Bring the device in. Our specialists diagnose the problem on the spot, and a large share of repairs, clogged wax guards, blocked receivers, tubing swaps, battery contact issues, moisture trouble, are handled right here, often while you wait. When a repair genuinely requires the manufacturer, we handle the entire process: paperwork, shipping, status updates and the follow-up fitting when it returns. You always know where your devices are and when you'll have them back.

Didn't buy your hearing aids from us? Bring them anyway. We service devices from most major manufacturers regardless of where they were purchased, and we'll tell you upfront if yours is a brand we can work on.

Warranties, and life after them

New hearing aids carry a manufacturer's warranty, and we'll always check yours before any paid work. Out of warranty? Most devices are still economically repairable for a modest fee, and depending on the manufacturer, a repair may come with a fresh year of coverage. If a device is truly beyond saving, we'll say so honestly and help you weigh replacement options without pressure. (Our guide on repair vs. replace covers how we think about it.)

The maintenance that prevents the repairs

A two-minute nightly routine prevents the majority of breakdowns we see: wipe the devices with a dry cloth, brush the microphone ports, open the battery doors, and let them sleep in a drying case. Check wax guards weekly, and bring the devices in a couple of times a year for professional cleaning, we catch wear before it becomes failure. Our maintenance guide has the full routine.

Walk in, no appointment needed

For minor repairs and cleanings you do not need to book ahead. Walk-ins are welcome on open days at both offices: wax guards and domes replaced, a proper clean, retubing, a receiver checked, a battery door that stopped closing. Most of it happens while you wait.

See what we handle as a walk-in, including the hours at each office and the few things that do need a scheduled appointment.
