We believe great care includes establishing great relationships with our patients. Treating hearing loss is an ongoing process that requires regular follow-ups, maintenance and cleanings to keep you hearing your best. Meet Our Team
Nevin G. Balliet, BC-HIS
Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences
Nevin is the founder and president of Northeast Hearing Solutions,Inc. The company was founded in 2006 with the following principles. 1) Follow “Golden Rule” and 2) Always try to do the right thing.
Over the years Nevin has fit hundreds of hearing aids for patients all across Northeast Pennsylvania and, with the advancements in hearing technology, those patients are hearing better than they ever thought possible. One of Nevin’s career highlights was helping a woman to hear again who had been suffering in silence for nearly 40 years. Nevin is board certified in hearing instrument sciences. The BC-HIS designation is the highest level of accreditation that can be earned in the field of hearing instrument sciences.
Nevin enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He is happily married to his wife Denise and they share five children together ranging from college graduated adults to the youngest in 5th grade. His interests include cooking, watching movies with his family, going on nature hikes, anything dealing with cars, being involved with the local community or just spending quality time with his loved ones.
Denise A. Balliet
Office Manager
Denise is organized and meticulous and makes the business run like a well oiled machine and she will never say no to hearing a good joke or story. Her positive energy always brightens up the waiting room and the Balliet household.
Nevin and Denise were married in 2009 at the Edgewood at the Pines Golf Course in the Hazleton area. The couple share a beautiful family together and all of the responsibilities of running a family business. In her free time you find Denise helping with the school or the church.
Marissa Katinsky
Patient Care Coordinator
Marissa is the smiling face that you see at the reception desk when you walk into Northeast Hearing Solutions and the voice you hear when you call to schedule your appointments. She is methodical about maintaining the daily and highly proficient in the office.
Marissa is also knowledgeable in the basic care and maintenance of hearing aids and pairing hearing instruments to the latest smartphones. She is always happy to lend a hand, share a story or one of her amazing soup recipes!
